After just 13 months, Kristi Noem is gone from leading the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Depending on your sources, she was either promoted or fired. It’s easy to assume she was fired because her new role hasn’t been created yet. Sort of like Trump didn’t know what to do with her, so he stuck her in a corner in a job that doesn’t exist. I’m not sure. Perhaps she was simply moved to another role. A more important one.

Whether you love him or hate him, Trump is pretty smart. And there is little doubt that he wants to do what’s best for the United States of America. He wants to protect us. Can you imagine how awful it would be if someone from the Western Hemisphere mounted a takeover of the US? Trump’s not gonna let that happen. He is going to make sure that the “West,” where we spend our time, is a safe place for all “legal” Americans. So he put Kristi Noem in charge of the Shield of the Americas.

What steps is he taking to protect us?

Panama – China was controlling the entire Panama Canal. Not anymore. We are.

Greenland – Greenland enhances U.S. national security and counters threats from Russia and
China in the Arctic region. Everyone assumes he wants their natural resources. Maybe he does because he wants the buffer they provide.

Venezuela – The past 3 or 4 U.S. Presidents have all said that Nicolas Maduro needs to be removed from power. Drugs, sending migrants to infiltrate the U.S., civil rights violations, etc. All talk and no action until Trump did something.

Cuba – Here is a government on the verge of collapse. Cuba is still influenced by communism. It is a one-party socialist state governed by the Communist Party of Cuba. Trump wants that to change.

Mexico – The Gulf of America. Trump wants to get rid of the drug cartels. He wants Mexico to be more aligned with US security concerns.

Can Colombia and Nicaragua be far behind?

He’s not on a power trip, people. He’s doing his best to make sure we all sleep well at night.
