Give Me A Minute – I Know The Future

Did you ever wonder about the future of humanity? Many believe that Armageddon and other apocalyptic events are about to happen. I wouldn’t be surprised if the prophecies in my favorite book, the Bible, come true sooner rather than later. These end-times events could happen at any time.

In the Bible, the word prophecy means a “message from God, often about future events or God’s will. Many Biblical prophecies focus on the coming of the Messiah and the fate of nations.” Over a quarter of the Bible is filled with prophecies. Some have already come true, while others, including Jesus’ second coming, the Rapture, and the Tribulation, are still awaiting fulfillment.

Let’s look at some of the unfulfilled prophecies.

The last book in the Bible, Revelation, describes a series of cataclysmic events leading to the destruction and rebuilding of the Earth. It’s full of allegories, symbolic language, and wild imagery. Revelation describes prophetic visions about a seven-year period when God will judge the world for its sins and lack of faith in Him.

1. A leader, called the Antichrist, gains control over the whole world and makes a seven-year peace treaty with Israel. This starts the “Tribulation.” Antichrist has a partner, the false prophet, who controls a global religious system that requires everyone to get a mark on their hand and worship the Antichrist. No one can buy or sell without the mark. However, those who receive it are doomed to Hell.

2. At the beginning of the Tribulation period, Christ returns and takes those who have trusted in Him to Heaven. This event is called the “Rapture.” Everyone who hasn’t trusted in Him is left behind. All the biblical prophecies leading up to the Rapture have already been fulfilled. It could happen at any time.

3. Just before or shortly after the Rapture, an army from the north (of Israel) joins several countries from the Middle East and Africa and attacks Israel. God intervenes supernaturally and destroys them.

4. The first half of the Tribulation is a horrible time for the world. Wars, plagues, and economic collapse hit hard. Famine, massive earthquakes, hail, and fire cause one-fourth of the world’s population to die.

5. Halfway through the Tribulation, the Antichrist breaks his promise to Israel. The Jews are scattered all over the world, but many people turn to Jesus and become saved. Those who do face persecution, and many are killed for their faith.

6. The second half of the Tribulation is even worse than the first. God’s judgement is so severe that people will seek death, but won’t be able to die. By the end, two-thirds of the Jews will be killed in what amounts to a second holocaust, and half of those who started the Tribulation, around four billion people, will be dead.

7. At the end of the seven years, the Antichrist launches a final attack on Jerusalem, leading to the Battle of Armageddon. Jesus returns, destroys the Antichrist and his army, and throws them into Hell. He then locks up Satan for a thousand years in the abyss, where evil spirits are confined.

8. Jesus then judges those who survived the Tribulation. He separates the righteous from the wicked, calling them “sheep” and “goats.” The wicked are sent to Hell. The righteous go to Heaven.

9. Jesus rules the world from Jerusalem, bringing one thousand years of peace and prosperity. At the end of this time, Satan is briefly released to try and trick the nations and start a final rebellion against God. But Jesus defeats him and throws him back into Hell forever.

10. Imagine a world where God will create a brand-new heaven and earth, and all pain, death, and sorrow will be gone. God’s children will live forever with Him. But for everyone else, they’ll be condemned to Hell.

Some of you will think this is a fairy tale. It’s not a fantasy. I believe it’s real and could happen at any time. Don’t be left behind to suffer through this terrible time and be separated forever from a loving and holy God.

How to Get to Heaven.

Getting into Heaven is a three-step process.

  1. Admit to God that you are a sinner who is unable to save yourself. The Bible makes it clear that everyone has sinned. We’ve all rebelled against God. And that’s what separates us from Him. God is perfect and sinless, and He can’t let sin go unpunished. The result of sin is eternal death and separation from Him. Without His help, we’re all doomed to eternal torment.
  2. Believe that God loves you and sent his son Jesus to die in your place. Jesus was born and lived a perfect life. He willingly gave Himself as a substitute for our sins. When Jesus died on the cross and came back to life, He paid for the sins of the whole world.
  3. Ask Jesus to save you from your sin, and receive Him as your personal savior. If we believe in Him and ask Him to be our Savior, we’ll spend eternity with Him.

In the Bible, a man once asked how to be saved. And the answer was simple:

“Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.”

Please take a moment to believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior today.
